I like this waaay more with out the background, but thats because I'm kinda stupid with backgrounds..I'm just not good with...well anything that isn't people.
So here he is with out that background [link] , much better me thinks.
This be for the for the RoA Alice in Wonderland mission of the Tim Burton variety. Never actually saw the movie, I really only like one or two of his movies ( Batman and Edward Scissor hands ) and I thought the movie looked...um..really stupid. But I tried...so..yep. Here he is.

Speaking of backgrounds, you should be careful of the thickness of your lines. People (myself included) often make the background independently of the characters, so they often don't seem unified. Xcirl has really thin lines, but the plants have really thick lines. They should probably have lines of the same thickness or less. Also shadows help a lot too
